#3440 [Other] Terminal feels very slow

Description:
The terminal application feels very slow. Terminal apps typically have very fast interfaces, but right now, the "strata launch" is extremely sluggish. Both the Chrome-based interface and the standalone app GUI are much faster. 

Here is my subjective assessment of speed based on user experience:
Chrome GUI: 100% fast
App GUI: 80% fast
Terminal: 20% fast

System:
Operating System: Linux Mint 22.3 - Cinnamon 64-bit | 6.8.0-147 - Cinnamon 64-bit | 6.8.0-147-generic Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC
CPU and GPU model: Processor dual Intel© Xeon© CPU X5670 @ 2.93GHz - GPU: Quadro P6000 (pascal architecture)
