Description
### Summary On Windows 11, the engine updater does not select the correct engine package for an AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE. It downloads / offers `0.1.46.1-windows-x86_64-hip-rdna3`, but after the switch check it reports that the start path would choose the installed `0.1.46-windows-x86_64-hip-rx9070` engine instead, so the new engine is not accepted. The previous RX 9000 engine remains installed and unchanged, but `Update engine` cannot complete. ### System - OS: Windows 11 - GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE (gfx1200/gfx1201 family) - CPU/GPU also includes an AMD Radeon integrated GPU - Strata version: 0.2.1 - Installed engine: `0.1.46-windows-x86_64-hip-rx9070` - Attempted engine: `0.1.46.1-windows-x86_64-hip-rdna3` ### Error message ```text the new engine was not accepted after the switch (No engine for this PC was found in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Strata\components: a start would pick 0.1.46-windows-x86_64-hip-rx9070, not 0.1.46.1-windows-x86_64-hip-rdna3. The app never downloads an engine while it starts or serves.); the previous engine is unchanged In the app, the engine update also reports: There isn't an engine for this PC's graphics card yet. Check for updates again later. ### Steps to reproduce 1. Install Strata 0.2.1 on Windows 11 with an RX 9070 GRE. 2. Open Settings and click Update engine (or run strata update). 3. The updater selects 0.1.46.1-windows-x86_64-hip-rdna3. 4. After the switch check, it rejects that engine because the PC needs the RX 9000 / gfx1200-gfx1201 build. 5. The installed 0.1.46-windows-x86_64-hip-rx9070 engine remains unchanged. ### Expected behavior The updater should detect the RX 9070 GRE as an RX 9000 / gfx1200-gfx1201 card and select the matching engine package, for example the rx9070 build, rather than the rdna3 build. ### Actual behavior The updater chooses the rdna3 engine package first, then the installed RX 9000 engine is still considered the correct one during the final validation, so the update fails. ### Additional notes - A proxy is enabled, but the download itself is not blocked; the failure is in engine selection/validation. - hipInfo is not available on this Windows installation, which may be why the updater's hardware detection falls back incorrectly. - The correct engine for this GPU appears to be: strata-engine-0.1.46-windows-x86_64-hip-rx9070.tar.gz Please consider adding support for the RX 9070 GRE / gfx1200 / gfx1201 in the updater's Windows hardware detection and package selection path.
