#549 Update.sh fails to update with a KeyError: 'args' error

Description

### Problem: When issuing a command to update (through update.sh), the update process fails with a KeyError: 'args' error.

### Expected Outcome:
The update process goes through smoothly.

### Actual Outcome:
Right after Strata is linked and the engine is compiled the setup.py script fails with the following error and traceback:

### Additional Information
This happens at the current latest main branch at commit db4f91a. The original installation was at aeb35be and got installed, executed then later upgraded through a manual git pull then a `./update.sh` command.
