Beschreibung
The troubleshooting entry #2084's reporter suggested.
**What it changes.** One entry in `docs/TROUBLESHOOTING.md` ("While it answers"), with #2084's machine and numbers only: GTX 1080 Ti, Linux, drivers 575.64.05 and 580; hard freezes of the whole PC during long cold prompts with nothing left in the local log; the reporter's best explanation (NVIDIA driver bug 6869496, Xid 62, seen once over netconsole; later freezes left no trace, so the entry says the cause is not proven); without the workaround 4 of 8 saturated cold prompts froze, and UEFI-only boot or the BIOS's PCIe equalization phases off did not help; `options nvidia NVreg_RegistryDwords="RmDisableGen2LinkRetraining=1"` stopped the freezes in their runs, at the cost they measured (link held at Gen1, ~3.2 GB/s instead of ~14 GB/s; 171 s instead of 52 s for a 14.4K-token cold prompt).
**What it leaves alone.** Everything else; no code. It does not generalise to every Pascal card (one card was tested) and quotes the reporter's final numbers, not the early "no bandwidth loss" they later corrected.
**How it was checked.** Against the issue and all five comments; a sub-agent reviewer checked every number and claim, and its corrections (the cause as the reporter's explanation, one card, the netconsole capture, what was tried) are in.
